The Extended Enterprise
Current safeguards and security measures do not protect organizations from file disclosures outside of their corporate networks from individuals and organizations entrusted with their sensitive information. This universe is your Extended Enterprise. Tiversa has found that over 60% of P2P file disclosures come from contractors, suppliers, attorneys, accountants, employees working from home, and even customers of major corporations and government agencies. | More

FAQ
We started a P2P lab on a dedicated laptop at my company to search for disclosed files. How is what you do different than what we are already doing? Understand that
when searching the P2P from one PC or multiple computers, you have a limited view of the entire network. Tiversa’s systems monitor
over 1.5 billion searches a day and over 450 million P2P nodes. Our solution enables us
to view the entire network and thus provide real-time, actionable information regarding sensitive file disclosures related to your organization.
Doesn't my firewall protect me against this threat? No. P2P clients, in many cases, are designed to thwart firewalls. We continue to find that current industry safeguards are not effective against P2P file sharing.
We have a policy against P2P. Why would this be a problem for us? As good as policy is, users will continue to use the path of least resistance. This may mean working from home or accessing corporate files from a non-work PC. Despite the safeguards taken at the corporate perimeter, they simply are not in place outside of it, which we continue to find. This puts your organization's sensitive and confidential data at risk.

How do we implement Tiversa's technology? Is there hardware to configure and software to install? Tiversa's solution is P2P Network Native™ requiring no hardware or software installation.

I use a DLP solution currently. Wouldn't that catch any leak leaving my perimeter? One thing to note regarding P2P is that in many cases it's the Extended Enterprise (suppliers, contractors, remote employees, partners and agents) that are disclosing files outside the corporate network, despite the hardware, procedures and policies in place. Imagine a key supplier or service provider inadvertently sharing their entire hard drive (that contains sensitive corporate data) because they don't have the same security measures that your organization may have in place. We've identified this as a major privacy and security concern.
